World famous czech writer Arnošt Lustig dies
Arnost Lustig, an author who escaped from a Nazi death transport to make the Holocaust the main theme of his fiction died early Saturday. He was 84. Jana Jelinkova, spokeswoman for Prague's Kralovske Vinohrady university clinic, confirmed the death. Lustig had been battling cancer for five years.

The guardsman Ďurčanský will have a bust unveiled in Rajec
The town of Rajec plans to unveil a statue in honour of Ferdinand Ďurčanský, who was the initiator of anti-Jewish policies during the Slovak state and received the death penalty after the war.
